At Transformation Church, we believe kids aren't just the church of tomorrow. They're an important part of the church today. We want every child to experience a safe, welcoming, and fun environment where they can learn who Jesus is, discover what the Bible teaches, and begin building a faith that lasts.
tChurch Kids Ministry isn't simply a place for kids to go while their parents attend church. It's ministry.
We want to partner with parents as they disciple their children and help kids develop a biblical foundation that will carry with them far beyond Sunday morning.

There's a Place for Every Child
Nursery (Infants - 2YO)
Our nursery provides a safe, loving environment where our youngest tChurch members are cared for and taught about Jesus while parents participate in worship.
Beginners (Pre-School)
Our preschool age children learn foundational truths about God through age-appropriate Bible stories, activities, music, and lots of fun! MUST be potty-trained!
Elementary (2nd-5th Grade)
Elementary kids dive deeper into God's Word through engaging Bible teaching, activities, discussion, and worship - all designed to help them understand what it means to know and follow Jesus.
Your Child's First Sunday
Visiting a new church with kids can feel very overwhelming. We want to make your first Sunday as easy as possible!
Step One
When you arrive, head to the tChurch Kids check in area located in between the sanctuary and the cafe'. One of our volunteers will help you get your child checked in and show you exactly where their classes are located.
Step Two
We will print out a name tag for your child with a custom code. You will also receive a parent tag with that same code. We will print any allergies or special information directly on that tag so we don't miss any of the important things!
Step Three
Should your child need you at any point during the service, our team is equipped with a text messaging system to be able to send a text directly to the number you provided. You'll simply make your way back to their class at that time.
Step Four
After the service is over, you will report to your child's class with the parent tag you were provided at check-in. The teacher will check your tag, compare the code on your child's name tag with yours and they're all yours!
We want parents to be able to worship knowing their children are in good hands. Our tChurch Kids ministry uses secure check-in/check-out procedures, and all of our children's ministry volunteers are background-checked and trained by MinistrySafe.

Donna Cahen
Deacon of Kids Ministry
Donna is better known around tChurch as "Mimi D". She serves as the Deacon of Kids Ministry. Donna has been involved with kids ministry for almost 50 years and she absolutely loves it. She doesn't believe kids are the future of the church, they are the church. Kids know how to worship, pray and share their faith as well as any adult. Donna has been a member of Transformation Church RVA for 9 1/2 years and was invited for the first time by her 12 year old grandson on Easter Sunday. She showed up that day because of a church invite from a child and she's been tChurch family ever since!
Nikki Wilson
Nursery Coordinator
Nikki is a wife, a mom and bonus mom. Her family has been part of Transformation Church for the past four years, and she's been serving as our Nursery Coordinator for the last year. Nikki loves kids ministry because she thinks there is something so special about creating a safe place where children can learn about Jesus and grow in their faith from an early age. Nikki has been enjoying loving on these little ones, support their families, and being part of the foundation God is building in their lives. She is so grateful for the opportunity to serve our church and our littlest members each week!
